eBay offers the sandbox setting. An application that carries out all the actions it can in the Production environment because it is a unique environment created only for testing. This enables you to mimic testing environments for applications created with the eBay API. The eBay Sandbox test site allows you to test and understand the working of the live eBay Production site using a sandbox user. Within the eBay Sandbox account, you need to log in with the sandbox test user’s account instead of the production eBay account. Sandbox test users are virtual eBay accounts that exist only in the Sandbox environment. So in this article, we will see the step-by-step procedure to create an eBay sandbox test user account:-

Step-by-Step Procedure to Create an eBay Sandbox Test User Account
STEP 1:- Login Into eBay Developer Program
- Visit https://developer.ebay.com/signin
- Enter the Registered eBay Username or Email Id and Password in the respective fields.
- After that, sign in to your eBay developer account.

STEP 2:- Go To eBay Sandbox Registration Tool
Once you successfully logged into your eBay developer account. Follow the below steps to access your Sandbox.
- First, go to the Navigation menu under Tools & Samples -> eBay Sandbox.
- Click on the Sandbox User Registration Setting.
- After clicking on the Sandbox User Registration Setting, the Sandbox Registration page will appear as shown below.

STEP 3:- Create a Test eBay Seller/Buyer Account
Complete the Register for Sandbox form and then click the Register button to create your new Sandbox test user account. You can create several test users depending upon your needs. When you register a new test user eBay allocates a predefined amount of credit to that test user account. In addition to this seed money, eBay automatically allocates $5000000 each weekend to each test user’s ability to complete many transactions week after week.

By default, eBay precedes the username of all Sandbox test users with TESTUSER_. i.e. If you have created a test user account with David’s username then your eBay sandbox test username will be TESTUSER_David and you have to log in to the sandbox account with this username. Now your eBay test user has been created successfully. You can log in to your Sandbox Account at https://sandbox.ebay.com/ with newly created test user account details.
