WordPress is basically a very popular Content Management System that is used by millions of users for developing a website or a blog. A social login option via WordPress account can be integrated with a proper module or extension. But before you can start accepting WordPress login on your site, you need the following WordPress API details, Client ID and Client Secret:
- WordPress Client ID and
- WordPress Client Secret
You can easily get these details from the WordPress Developer network by following these steps.
Step to get WordPress API details, Client ID and Client Secret
Step 1: Simply visit the WordPress Developer Website.
Step 2: On the first screen, you will get an option to create your App. Click on the Create New Application button and provide a Name for Application.
Step 3: Fill up the other details in the page and save the application. The details include:
- Name of your Application
- Description of your App
- You website URL
- Redirect URL
For example, In case you are using our social loginizer module (PrestaShop, OpenCart, or Magento) and SEO Friendly URL for your store then use this for redirect URL –
https://www.yourstore.com/module/socialloginizer/wordpress
Otherwise, use this –
https://www.yourstore.com/index.php?fc=module&module=socialloginizer&controller=wordpress
Step 4: After filling up the details, click Create button.
Step 5: On the next screen you will get the API details. Copy and Paste the credentials in plugin admin console.
